Mission to the World

Mission to the World enables the women of our congregation to connect with and support our missionaries. Most activities involve the annual World Missions Conference in October. We are responsible for arranging housing for visiting missionaries, the Monday morning WIC program, a pre-conference prayer event, refreshments after the evening services, and entertaining older missionary children on two afternoons. We also help with decorating the church and assist the missions office in any way that we can.

Hattie McCallie Missionary Closet

The Missionary Closet provides clothing for our missionaries free of charge. The “closet” is open for “shopping” all year long. We need volunteers to meet on Tuesdays to sort and hang donations, especially during the October missions conference.

Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child asks donors to fill gift-wrapped shoeboxes with basic hygiene items, toys, and gifts to be given at Christmas to children in need around the world. (Boxes are filled before Thanksgiving.) Before the boxes are distributed, Evangelist Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, presents the Gospel. Opportunities are available to help gather, wrap, fill, or deliver boxes.
