Josh grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina. God placed him in a believing family where he professed faith at a young age. It was during his time at the University of South Carolina that a vision for sharing the Gospel gripped his heart through the ministry of Cru and mentoring relationships. After serving on staff with Cru for 10 years on college campuses around the world, including here in Tennessee at ETSU, he entered into pastoral ministry through an internship at First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, SC. After graduating from RTS Charlotte in 2021, he was called to serve as the Minister for Discipleship at First Presbyterian Church of Hattiesburg, MS.
He and his wife Samantha met in college through the ministry of Cru and have been married for 15 years. Together they have three young children: Caleb, Daniel, and Kathryn. Some of Josh’s hobbies include being outside, working with his hands, board games, and all things Gamecock Sports or Braves baseball.
Josh has just completed a second master's degree in counseling.
